Common Problems

I Can't Sign In

Check that your email and password are correct and that your internet connection is active. If you forgot your password, select "Forgot password" and follow the instructions sent to your email. Check your spam folder if the email does not appear.

I Didn't Receive the Password Reset Email

Wait a few minutes, check your spam or junk folder, and confirm that you entered the correct email address. Requesting several emails quickly may delay delivery. Use the newest reset email because older links may expire.

My Password Reset Link Does Not Work

Reset links may expire or become invalid after use. Request a new password reset email and open the newest link on the device where Unforget is installed.

I Can't Create an Account

Confirm that your email address is valid, your password meets the displayed requirements, and your username is available. If signup still fails, close and reopen Unforget before trying again.

The App Says I Am Offline

Check your Wi-Fi or mobile-data connection. Some previously loaded content may remain available, but creating, sending, or updating content requires an internet connection.

Memories Are Not Loading

Pull down to refresh and check your connection. If the problem continues, close and reopen Unforget. Videos and high-resolution images may take longer on slow networks.

A Memory Is Missing from My Profile

"Only You" memories do not appear on your public profile. Memories saved from chats appear in Calendar rather than the profile grid. Check the memory's privacy setting and Calendar date.

My Memory Upload Failed

Keep Unforget open until the upload finishes. Confirm that you have a stable connection and that the selected file is supported. Very large videos may take longer or fail on weak connections.

Camera Is Not Working

Open your device settings and allow Unforget to access the camera. Return to the app and reopen the camera screen. If the preview remains unavailable, restart the app.

Microphone Is Not Working

Allow microphone access in your device settings. This permission is required for voice memories, voice reactions, voice comments, and videos with sound.

I Can't Choose a Photo or Video

Allow Photos access for Unforget in your device settings. On iPhone, select either full or limited photo access. If limited access is enabled, make sure the item you want is included.

Notifications Are Not Appearing

Open Unforget's notification settings and confirm notifications are enabled. Also check your device settings, Focus mode, Do Not Disturb, battery restrictions, and individual Unforget notification preferences.

Messages Are Not Sending

Check your internet connection and wait for pending photos or videos to finish uploading. If a message remains unsent, reopen the conversation and try again.

A Photo or Video Takes Time to Send

Media appears in the conversation while uploading, but delivery to other users requires the upload to finish. Upload speed depends on file size and connection quality.

I Can't Edit a Chat Image

Editing requires the image to be downloaded to your device temporarily. Check your internet connection, reopen the image editor, and try Rotate, Flip, or Crop again.

Videos Have No Sound

The creator may have published the video as muted. A video saved as muted cannot be unmuted by viewers. Also check your device volume and silent-mode settings.

I Can't Comment on a Memory

The memory owner may have turned comments off. You also need an internet connection and permission to view the memory.

My Comment or Reaction Did Not Appear

Wait briefly and refresh the memory. Weak connections can delay comments, Felt-it reactions, and voice reactions. Avoid tapping repeatedly while the first action is processing.

I Can't Find Another User

Search by their exact username, first name, last name, or display name. Blocked users and accounts that block you may not appear.

Partner Requests Are Missing

Incoming requests appear through the Partners icon on Notifications. Refresh the page and confirm you are signed into the correct account.

I Can't Open a Conversation

You may have been removed from a group, the group may have been deleted, or your connection may be unavailable. Return to Messages and refresh the conversation list.

Unread Badges Are Incorrect

Open the affected conversation or Notifications page and allow it to refresh. Badges should clear after the content is marked as read.

The App Feels Slow or Gets Hot

Close other demanding apps, allow active uploads to finish, and restart Unforget. Long conversations and several simultaneous video uploads can temporarily increase device usage.

My Account Switched Unexpectedly

Open the account switcher from your profile name and confirm the active account. Unforget can save multiple accounts on one device, so notifications and content may belong to another saved account.

I Want to Report or Block Someone

Open the user's profile or the relevant message, comment, or memory menu. Select Report or Block and follow the instructions. Reporting sends the relevant context for review.

I Want to Delete My Account

Open Profile, then Settings, and find the account deletion option. Account deletion is permanent and may remove memories, messages, and other associated data according to Unforget's policies.

Feature Help Articles

Creating a Memory

Open Create and choose Photo, Video, Voice, or Dual Camera. Capture or select your media, add an optional caption and location, choose privacy and comment settings, then publish.

Public and "Only You" Memories

Public memories can appear on your profile and may be visible to others. "Only You" memories remain private and appear in your Calendar but not your public profile or profile memory count.

Adding Multiple Photos

Choose photo mode and open the gallery to select multiple images. Viewers can swipe between them. The image counter indicates the current image and total number of images.

Creating Video Memories

Choose video mode, record a video or select one from your gallery, and publish it. Videos may require extra processing and uploading time compared with photos.

Creating Voice Memories

Choose voice mode and allow microphone access. Record your memory, stop when finished, review it, and publish. Voice memories use a waveform during playback.

Adding Captions and Mentions

Write a caption before publishing. Type @username to mention an existing Unforget user. Valid mentions become tappable and may notify the mentioned person.

Adding a Location

You can attach a nearby place or location to a memory. Gallery media may use its original captured location when available. Photos without location metadata cannot provide capture-based nearby places.

Turning Comments Off

During publishing, enable "Close comments" to prevent new comments. Existing comment visibility may depend on the memory's current settings.

Using Felt It

Tap "Felt it" to react to a memory. Tap again to remove your reaction. Your avatar may appear in the memory's Felt-it summary.

Sending a Voice Reaction

Long-press the Felt-it control to record an optional voice reaction. Release your finger to finish. Microphone permission is required.

Commenting with Text, Images, or Voice

Open a memory's comments and use the composer to send text. The Plus and microphone controls allow supported image and voice comments when comments are enabled.

Replying to Comments

Select Reply on a comment to respond directly. Replies notify the parent comment's author unless you are replying to yourself.

Sharing a Memory in Chat

Open a memory and select Share. Choose up to the supported number of partners or conversations. Shared memories appear as tappable cards in chat.

Starting a Direct Message

Open a partner's profile and select Message. Unforget opens the existing conversation or creates one if necessary.

Sending Photos and Videos in Chat

Tap the camera control in the composer and choose Camera or Gallery. Gallery images send directly, while camera images may be reviewed or edited first. Videos upload before delivery.

Editing a Chat Photo

Open the photo's message actions and select Edit. Use Rotate, Flip Horizontal, Flip Vertical, or Crop, then select the arrow to send the edited version as a new message.

Replying to a Message

Long-press a message and select Reply. The selected message appears above the composer. Send your response or select X to cancel.

Editing a Text Message

Long-press one of your recent text messages and select Edit. Text messages can only be edited within the allowed time after sending.

Deleting a Message

Long-press your message and select Delete. Deleted messages remain represented by a "Message deleted" notice where applicable.

Message Delivery and Read Status

A single check indicates the message was sent. Additional status indicators show delivery or reading when available. Group chats can show member avatars beside their latest-read message.

Saving Chat Media to Calendar

Long-press a chat photo or video and select Unforget. The item is saved to Calendar. Select Remove Unforget to remove the saved calendar entry.

Creating a Group Chat

From Messages, select the Plus button and create a new group. Choose accepted partners, enter a group name, and optionally select a group image.

Managing a Group

Open the group menu to rename the group, change its picture, add or remove members, or leave. The group creator may also have permission to delete the entire group.

Leaving a Group

Open group settings and select Exit group. The conversation disappears from your inbox, and remaining members see that you left.

Using Partners

Partners are accepted connections who can message and interact with you according to your privacy settings. Partner requests can be accepted or declined from the Partners area.

Removing a Partner

Open the partner's profile and select the X action. Unforget asks for a second confirmation before removing the connection.

Managing Partner-List Privacy

Open Settings, then Privacy. You can choose whether other users are allowed to view your partners list.

Using Calendar

Calendar organizes memories by their local capture or creation date. Select a day to view its memories. Private memories and saved chat media can appear here even when absent from your profile.

Using Profile

Your profile displays your photo, name, username, memory count, Felt count, partner count, and public memory grid. Select Memories to jump to your grid or Partners to open your connections.

Switching Accounts

Select your name in the Profile header to open the account switcher. You can save, add, remove, or switch between supported accounts without signing in every time.

Understanding Unforget AI

UAi is Unforget's private AI life chat. It becomes available after you capture the required number of eligible memories. Once unlocked, it remains available and can answer questions using the memories and conversations you permit.

Managing UAi Conversation Access

Open UAi's data-source controls to choose which private conversations it may use. Access can be enabled or disabled per conversation, and enabled conversations are listed first.

UAi Daily Message Limit (Unforget AI)

UAi has a 4 daily messages allowance that resets after 24 hours. The composer displays when the limit is reached and becomes available again after the reset, which is 24 hours.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who can see my memories?

Visibility depends on the privacy option selected when publishing. Public memories can appear on your profile and may be visible to other Unforget users. “Only You” memories are private and appear only in your Calendar — they do not appear on your profile or increase your public memory count. Your partners and other users can only access memories allowed by the memory’s visibility and Unforget’s privacy rules.

What is “Felt it”?

Felt it is Unforget’s way of liking a memory. Double tap on an image or voice memory to felt it, or click the felt icon on a video to felt it.

How do Partners work?

Partners are accepted connections between Unforget users. Partners can message each other, share memories, and interact with content according to each memory’s privacy settings. Incoming partner requests are available through the Partners icon on the Notifications page. You can remove a partner from their profile — the removal action requires a second confirmation to prevent accidental removal. Partner-list visibility can be controlled from Settings → Privacy.

How do messages and group chats work?

Open Messages to start or continue private conversations. You can send text messages, photos and videos, voice messages, shared memories and shared profiles. You can also create group chats with up to 15 partners, group members can add or remove members, change the group name or picture, and leave the group.

How do I edit, save, or download a chat image?

Long-press a chat image to open its available actions. Select Edit to rotate, flip, or freely crop the image — sending from the editor creates a newly edited image message and does not replace the original. Select Unforget to save the image to your Calendar, or Remove Unforget to remove that saved Calendar entry. Where supported, select Download to save the image to your device’s Unforget photo album. Photo-library permission may be required.

How does Calendar organize my memories?

Calendar organizes memories using your device’s local date and timezone. Select a day to view memories captured or created on that date. Calendar can include public memories, “Only You” memories, photo, video, voice, and photos or videos saved from chats with Unforget. Private memories and saved chat media can appear in Calendar without appearing on your public profile.

What is UAi, and how do I unlock it?

UAi is Unforget’s private AI life chat. It can answer questions using eligible memories and the private conversations you explicitly allow. UAi unlocks after you capture the required number of 30 memories. Once unlocked, it remains available.
